Greenfields has its own Scheme Manager. The Scheme Manager’s role is to keep an "unobtrusive eye" on the well being of residents and to ensure they receive the help and support they might need. Residents' privacy and independence is respected and they are encouraged to maintain their ties and activities outside of the scheme.

There are 14 one bedroom bungalows and 22 two bedroom flats at Greenfields, as well as 3 studio flats. To be eligible for a property at Greenfields you must live or have family within Cuffley or Northaw, or have a social or medical need to move to Cuffley.

All properties benefit from modern kitchens and bathrooms, many having a walk-in shower. In addition, all have central heating, double glazed windows, high standards of insulation and a “call system”. This is operational 24 hours a day, connecting you directly to the Scheme Manager, or the Central Control facility operated by Welwyn Hatfield Council and their Mobile Warden Service.

Facilities at the scheme include:
- an onsite laundry
- car parking
- a guest room
- a stairlift serving upper floor properties
- very well maintained grounds

Greenfields also benefits from the John Lambert Room and its adjoining conservatory. They provide a meeting place for the social activities that the residents of Greenfields organise on a regular basis.

The rents and service charges at Greenfields are kept as low as possible. As at April 2008 they were around £495 per month for a one bedroom bungalow, and £509 per month for a two bedroom flat.

The rents and service charges at Greenfields qualify for Housing Benefit and the Housing Association positively encourages, and assists, all residents to make an application.
